re:TRADE powered by VAT IT joins FEA at the perfect time to help fellow members

We asked our newest FEA member a few short questions and they kindly obliged!

1. Tell us about how your business got started.
VAT IT has been in the Value-Added Tax reclaim and compliance business for more than 20 years. Last year, we started getting queries from existing customers about how they must prepare their VAT structures and supply chains for Brexit. This organic demand led to the creation of our new solution, re:TRADE, that addresses Brexit’s most complex pain points and helps businesses continue trading efficiently, compliantly, and economically between the UK and EU.

2. What do you love most about the foodservice equipment industry?
The foodservice equipment industry is an essential sector and forms the backbone of any economy. That is why we want to help members and businesses in this industry avoid compliance pitfalls from new VAT regulations.

3. What is the biggest challenge for your business right now?
Since we have been in the VAT reclaim industry for 20+ years, we continue to lobby various tax offices and revenue authorities for client-centric new policies, especially with macro-environmental factors such as the pandemic and Brexit. We were successful in pushing for deadline extensions last year, and we hope that we can continue to influence positive changes in the industry this year as well.

4. What are the drawing factors for joining FEA?
The re:TRADE experts are looking forward to spreading word in the FEA community about the implications of Brexit on import/exports and tips to overcome them.

5. Anything else you’d like to add?
Re:TRADE will be hosting a series of webinars on how to navigate challenges that Brexit poses for FEA members; we hope you can join us on these upcoming events. Re:TRADE also offers FEA members complimentary consultations on their supply chain and VAT structures; we welcome you to book an appointment here: https://hubs.la/H0GGjj30
