CESA - WRAS Meeting - Steaming Ovens/Combi Ovens

During a recent meeting of the WRAS Product Approval Group (PAG) the members were asked to consider steaming ovens that incorporate a facility to cool the discharge water before running to drain.

After careful consideration it was agreed that water used in this manner is considered a waste of water and as such, in breach of the Water Supply (Water Fitting) Regulations 1999.

This matter will be discussed at a meeting at 2:00 pm on the 25th February 2015 at which Mr Paul Millard, the WRAS Technical Manager will be attending.  The meeting will be held at the CESA offices, Ground Floor, Westminster Tower, 3 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7SL.

This will be an ideal opportunity to discuss any concerns or issues that you may have in relation to the changes.

Please reply to Jocelyn Carr at jocelyn.carr@cesa.org.uk if you will be attending.

Please see the letter from WRAS which relates to the use of water in combination and steaming ovens.
